FOUNDER/EDITOR

Senior Style Guide was created by founder, Vickie Black, to provide a community for photographers to feel free to express their talents and solidify their style. Since the first blog post, July 2011, SSG has continued to inspire, create and educate the senior photography community. Seeing a need for a Senior Only magazine, the first print issue was launched September 2012. As a result Senior Style Guide has continued to provide education to photographers both nationally and internationally through the blog, print magazine, forum and Facebook group. Vickie is committed to uplifting and bringing continuous education to this industry. Since that first blog post, Senior Style Guide has gone on to create more opportunities for photographers to connect via shootouts, The PUSH Conference and their destination events.

BLOG SPECIALIST

Melissa Neck, owner of Melissa Neck Photography is located in Williamsburg, VA.  Melissa has  been in business for five years, specializing in Family, Seniors and Teens.  Melissa graduated from the University of Virginia with a psychology degree and later went on to get her nursing degree.  Melissa has been a Labor & Delivery nurse for the past 12 years, and currently works part-time to focus on her photography business and her busy family.  Melissa is married and has two children.

Lacey M. Carroll is a Sacramento, CA photographer specializing in Magazine-Worthy Senior Portraits, Branding & Headshots Sessions. Known for bringing passion, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to every session, Lacey now teaches at Conferences like PUSH and CEO+ to bring her unique take on Senior Portraits to others. When not behind the camera, Lacey can often be found performing improv comedy, indulging in a Netflix binge, or spending quality time with her animals.

Hey there! I’m April Wetzig, wife, mama to three teenage boys (yes, I survive on coffee and prayer), photographer of seniors and families, lover of fields of wildflowers, golden light, and Jesus. I’m based in Central Texas, but am always down for travel! 

Two of my boys are in college, one’s still in high school, so my house is basically a blend of chaos, sports gear, dirty laundry and empty snack wrappers. When I’m not wrangling boys or editing photos, you’ll find me chasing sunsets, singing off-key to 90s country, and pretending I don’t talk to my camera like it’s a person.
